Hippos Golegã

The High Performance Center - Hippos Golegã, is the first of its kind in Portugal for equestrian sports. Based in Golegã, know as the "horse capital", in the heart of Portugal and about an hour from Lisbon airport, this space has its main objetives the preparation of athletes and teams in ther mission to represent Portugal in sport in various international competitions, and the physical and psycho-motor monitoring of top competition practitioners, as well as their path, in order to enhance their sports performance.

The Hippos - Golegã has other existing sports infrastructures (swimming pools, ring, sports pavilion, stadium, tennis courts, etc.), as well as bar / restaurant, several meeting rooms, 4 apartments, Sporthotel with 40 beds, also equipped with jacuzzi, turkish bath, sauna and still internship center for athletes with 50 beds.

There are changing rooms, showers and toilets for riders, as well as first aids, medical offices, a gym and a physical support office duly equipped with regard to the recovery and rehabilitation of athletes, in addition to offices that support the antidoping control.
